Following from last week where we were introduced to the four main Japanese street styles, we were chosen a specific one. Our group had ‘Japanese’ style, which is the exaggeration of the traditional style with the kimono dresses. Our task today was to bring in material, threads, anything we could find that related to our style so we could create a mood board. I absolutely love this mood board, as it gives you a basic insight to what it is without reading anything! I will definitely be using mood boards a lot more than I do now. I enjoyed this and I think the Japanese style is really bright, colourful, and over the top with florals and various patterns like stripe. The colours clash but surprisingly go well.
